Prizes and awards are presented every year at the Academy’s Annual Gathering on 6 November. The funds listed here are not open to applications. 

The Nils Ahnlund Prize Fund makes awards to Academy members from a Nordic country for outstanding scholarly achievements in the fields represented by the Academy.  

The Jöran Sahlgren Prize Fund rewards outstanding scholarly achievements in Nordic place-name, dialect or folklore research. 

The Dag Strömbäck Award Fund rewards writing and other activities benefiting the research which the Academy represents, primarily in Old Norse philology and Nordic folklore. In particular, scholars from Britain, Ireland, Iceland and Norway are to be remembered. 

The Anders Diös Fund for Swedish Local History Research rewards and supports contributions in Swedish folk culture as a whole or certain areas of it, such as settlement history, building traditions, social and economic history, history of law, working life, folk traditions, folk customs and linguistic traditions. 

The Royal Gustavus Adolphus Academy Fund for Swedish Folklife Studies rewards and supports scholarly work that advances knowledge about the life and distinctive cultural character of the Swedish people. 

The Torsten Jancke Memorial Fund rewards and supports scholarly work within the sphere of interest of the Academy.

The Harry Karlsson Fund for Folklife Studies seeks to promote folklife research at the universities of Uppsala and Lund.

The Erik and Dency Östhol Endowment Fund awards prizes for local history research and other scholarly work in the fields which the Academy represents. 

The Marie-Louise and Gösta Virding Fund awards scholarships to researchers in folklife studies and cultural history, primarily relating to the province of Småland. 

The Sten Carlsson Memorial Fund rewards and supports scholarly work in the fields which the Academy represents. 

The Gösta Berg Memorial Fund rewards and supports scholarly work in the fields which the Academy represents. 

The Vidar Reinhammar Fund for Swedish Dialect Research primarily awards travel scholarships to PhD students and young postdoctoral researchers. 

The Folke Hedblom Memorial Fund supports scholarly work in the fields which the Academy represents. 

The Lars Hellberg Memorial Fund awards scholarships to young researchers in Scandinavian languages working on an interdisciplinary basis. 

The Gun Widmark Fund for Research in Scandinavian Languages at Uppsala University seeks to promote research in the Scandinavian languages.
